A Volunteer Story
I am a volunteer at The Trading Post and am still amazed to this day at what I see and feel when I walk through that door.  The amazingly inviting setting of the store that we are constantly trying to improve, the kindness and warmth that overflows from the staff within the store...not to mention the people that come in feeling a little "down and out" and leave feeling uplifted and blessed (me being one of them).  The Trading Post is always there for you.  The Food Pantry is an awesome part of this organization.  I remember going in one day to help out in any way that I could and there was a line longer than usual for food.  There was not a bunch of chaos and impatience like you might see in a grocery store.  It was quite plesant, actually.  Everybody was talking to one another and meeting new people, children were laughing and enjoing one another in the children's center, and the volunteers were happy and eagerly helping.  I could see that with every person and/or family they came across, it warmed their hearts all that much more.  It was a day I will never forget.  Did I mention that I have been involved with the Trading Post since 2006?  I cannot express how proud I am to be a part of the Trading Post Community.  The Post touches my heart is more ways than I can say.
